I have an idea for a sort of pop science/cultural criticism non-fiction book about a topic that really interests me and that I’ve done a lot of research on. I think my thesis is original and the subject matter would be interesting to a lot of people.

Where would I start if I eventually wanted to get it published? I don’t have any real credentials beyond BA, but neither do a lot of people who write these books. I haven’t published op-ed’s or essays or a blog or anything before.

Is this impossible in my situation? Is it non-fiction like fiction where you put together a manuscript and try to find an agent? Easier market? Harder? I just don’t know where to start.
