Good call. Considering Plotinus regards the soul as One, the higher being, the issue of having the holy spirit within us comes from the idea of dualism considering the moral aspect of it. Hence, the mention of us as the higher being because although the trinity has to be conformed of three equally important elements, it cannot exist without the father, in which case is us. Keeping this in mind, the need for such an unity of forces is nonexistent and thus unnecessary considering that we've created a certain dependence on elements that coexist, but cannot be without us.
