Howdy /lit. I've been thinking about this for a while and I'm not sure how to solve this problem completely. In the moment it seems like I kind of ignore it and I do fine, but then I end up thinking that conversation has no real objective point. My question is, what's the telos of conversation? Is there any real point to it besides didactic discourse? Is it as simple as we have a need to be vulnerable around other people and communicate for the sake of communication?

What are some good books about building and maintaining professional relationships?

I've been reading through this thread trying to make sense of what happened to the Hugo's since I've never payed much attention and now my head hurts.

What the fuck happened in the last ~10 years of whatever it's been? Why should any /lit/ thread resemble /v/ during that time we don't talk about? What do proud muslim women of colour have to do with science-fiction stories?
