It's complicated....it's about two worldbuilders (called "constructors," they're basically robots with ridiculously overpowered engineering degrees) that sally forth across the Universe forming it in their image as they see fit. It's a mix of modernist SF, satire, cutesy comedy, and absurdism. I'm only a few chapters in but it's fun and pretty light-hearted.

Is this a good place in Lem's bibliography to start with after reading Solaris?

Currently waiting for my copy of picrel to come in the mail. God I hope it's the right edition, buying via 3rd party sellers on Amazon can be hit and miss. And I specifically want this edition. There's just something about it. I saw there was one for only ~$20-odd dollars while the rest are going for at least $40 so I decided to snatch it up. That's a good strategy for acquiring rare/expensive books bt.w – stick it in your Amazon wishlist and monitor.

Thoughts on Stanislaw Lem's works other than Solaris, and other SF books written by authors from Eastern Europe/Russia? (other than the obvious like Roadside Picnic, etc.).
