d/a, but I really liked it. I love these slice-of-life descriptions and I also feel it packs more emotion than some of Murakami's other works; but still in his own, detached way.

ITT: Books that fucked you up

Am I retarded if I can barely fucking read nausea? I can barely get past a single paragraph of this book and I'm on like page 40 now and have been at it for over a week now. I might as well be staring at a wall, because that's about as much interpretations I get out of reading these sentences as I do staring at the pages of this book sometimes.

How has life fucked you over? As a kid I had a habit where if something touched my right side I would touch it with my left side also so as to not be asymmetrical. Around puberty my OCD kicked in fully and I never got diagnosed so I ended up ignoring all feelings of being off balance entirely. I've never been able to make friends or talk while being taken seriously since then.

What's the equivalent of the intellectual brain bomb of what you thought this book was going to be, before you realized it was utterly boring shit?
