Hello /Lit/
I just found out that a certain best-selling author has a pen name that is my actual legal name. Can I still write under that name in a way to scalp their audience while retaining my legal protections? Should I even attempt something so obvious or just start fresh with a new name? I really don't want to deal with the legal aspects of a nom de plume but it seems I must.

Also, legalities of pen names thread?

Okay /lit/ I've thrown myself out to the business world. For $5 I will literally write an 500 word erotic short story about ANYTHING. I will promise you that I will redefine the erotic genre.
