People are genuinely interested in Waldun because he's a genuinely bad writer with a genuine fanbase. No one whatsoever is interested in the other two (only just that learned alligator guy and the ugly selfie taker were not the same person). No one cares about them and their shitty amateur ass books enough to analyze them and discuss them... only Waldun. The fact they're trying to piggyback on a writer as bad as Waldun is a terrible self-indictment.
