Why you didn't tell me that this book is a bad and edgy copy of The picture of Dorian Gray in the 80s?

Looking for some good books to read. Over the last two weeks I read American Psycho and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I liked both these books more than other books i read recently like Game of Thrones so I'm looking for recommendations of books like these.

Quick question, what was the band that Patrick Bateman was listening to when he was burning the homeless man? I thought it was "the new Talking Heads album" but I've been looking through my ebook and I can't find the scene at all

>implying this isn't great

>implying you don't 'mire bateman at least a little

>implying you wont say it's pleb because it's written in a succint and poignant, albeit bleak manner

>implying you people have taste

I remember this link that was posted on /lit/ about six months ago. It was a quiz that tested your knowledge of books by their covers. It would just give you a cover and make you type the name in.

If someone could post a link that would be great, I can't find it.

American Psycho is amazing. The last 30 pages completely absolve the book of its lesser parts.

Just finished American Psycho, and have to say, honestly, it is one of the most well-written novels I've ever read. The stream-of-consciousness is amazing. Any fans of transgressive fiction/psychological horror want to talk about awesome this book is?

How do you guys feel about this novel? Tasteless, misogynist filth or brilliant satire of Western culture?

Hey guys. I was hoping you could help me out with some book recommendations.

American Psycho and The Shining are two of my favorite books. I'd like to read more books in which the main character slowly goes insane. I can't get enough of these types of stories.

So, do you guys have any ideas?

I already own this and I've heard good things, I just haven't decided to invest myself in something so lengthy yet.

What is the most disturbing book you have ever read? I have a craving for that feeling you get in the pit of your stomach when you force yourself to read through a disturbing scene.
(My vote would be between American Psycho and Child of God)
