I'm not sure I understand the intent of this. I know that not everybody that comes to 4chan comes here because of anonymity, but it's certainly the reason why I like to discuss /lit/ and /ck/ and /fa/ and /tv/ and /v/ on 4chan as opposed to reddit or facebook or G+ or any other stable identity- social network. This is an anonymous social network. Anyone can post, anyone can read. That's beautiful and practical and secretive and simple in the extreme.

To ask me to remove my anonymity would mean that my responses to your works and the way I talk and act would immediately change, as I tried very hard to make my online persona match up to my IRL persona (the one attached to my real name). I don't like having to keep a stable personality. I already do that in my professional and private life.

Online life can and, IMO, should be chaotic and shimmering and unknowable. Fixed IDs are no fun at all. I don't want another Driver's License.
