What are some good arguments in favor of Protestantism? So far, all the criticisms to Catholicism I have heard from protestants can be divided into three cathegories:
1) "Thing X is unbiblical"
2) "Catholics are pagans because they worship Mary and the Saints"
3) "Catholic Church bad and corrupted"

These arguments are manifestly flawed and indefensible, and even if they were acceptable, they would not provide a positive and catholic-independent definition of Protestantism. Is there something more profound I am missing or is this the whole thing?
