If we call /lit/ cities the cities with nicest libraries/bookstores/etc, NYC is an obvious first choice. I will say though (and I know this will spark some level of controversy) that Portland is up there for the used/thrift bookstore culture and Powell's Books alone.

In terms of /lit/ aesthetics or history, I would say Tangier, Koenigsburg (fuck calling it Kaliningrad), Toledo, Sapporo, and Prague.

Paris, Berlin, and Seattle are tied for cities with extremely high highs and unbelievably low lows.
