So I really love the idea of having an e-reader because of how perfectly convenient it is for a thirdworldfag like me who faces difficulties when it comes to finding a lot of high quality books, which forces me to rely on my phone for reading. It should come as no surprise to you that a smartphone isn't really the best device for doing that, with all the constant distraction and overall feeling of discomfort it becomes a painful annoyance. However, I'm shocked by the prices of the aforementioned guizmos : was looking around for a Kobo Aura H2O (heard that it was perfect for pirates) and found the prices hovering around 150 euros.

Why are these things so expensive ? Is it even worth it or are they another overhyped fad ? Having to pay such large sums of money just to get access to (essential) knowledge leaves a sour taste in my mouth to be quite honest...

Do you get better in a mood from an audio book than reading yourself? I feel more immersed.
