Alright /lit/, I read story a few days ago and I need help figuring out who it was by.

it's a short story, and it starts off with the protagonist riding his motorcycle, but then some dumb bitch runs on to the crosswalk so he crashes and shit. He passes out and it sort of switches perspectives to this tribesm,en fleeing from Aztecs who are capturing mad bitches for sacrafice.

The story basically switches perspectives between these two dudes as they lose consciousness throughout the story. The author appeals to the olfactory senses a lot, and I'm next to positive he's Latin American.

HS Senior here. In my Amlit class, we're studying transcendentalism, Gothicism, and romanticism. I'm doing a project worth a good chunk my grade that involves taking apart a song with one of the above elements. And I'm stumped.
