Weeks is a middling fantasy author, that would be YA if it wasn't for his explicit themes. Although I respect that he doesn't suck woke cock throughout the whole book.

I don't like the magic system and how people come back from the death. It feels like lazy writing.

I do like the plot though. On the second book now. 6/10 so far
