What is it about W.A.S.T.E. or the Trystero that is worth caring about? So what if they are a secretive postal service, a "conspiracy".

Though it was obviously hilarious and the sentences masterfully crafted, the style and arrangement was ultimately too dense for me to comprehend given the effort I invested. 75% of the novel's best humour probably went over my head for this reason.

Why should I care about this novel? What am I missing about it, besides the excitement of whether or not WASTE members attend the auction of the secretive stamps.

Greetings /lit/.

ED is currently engaged in a tirade against cloudflare.

I'm all for educating the masses about the evils of everything under the sun. It's also nice to be able to access the intended content of a link put in addition to, not replaced by, a polemic wall.

I found what I was looking for, but not from ED.

Time to update the sticky? Maybe throw an article up on the wiki with the currently missing IRC search startup guide and everything, and point to that instead?

>Paul Bowles never discussed?

And never will.

This belongs to the early days, an accord of minds of similar disposition.

You might fan the flames of recognition in spite of all that came before, yet ...

Beware.

We are watching.

That's kinda part of the fun, though.

Don't talk about Pynchon till you read The Crying of Lot 49 - shit was awesome and hilariously pun-filled. What's not to like about puns?

What does /lit/ think about literary inspired tattoos?
I'm not from around these parts, although I should come here more often.

The only tattoo I have [and what is probably the only one I ever will have] is a muted post horn on my ankle [inb4 fag, I'm a female], a tribute to Thomas Pynchon.
The instructor for the college marching band I'm in has a huge wizard piece on his back, inspired by Tolkien. I wish I had a picture of it, it's too cool for words.

[Pic related - except mine is black.]

Can /lit/ recommend good paranoid-making, fun books like The Crying of Lot 49? Or epic allegorical tales with witty narrators like Rushdie?
