I was saddened to learn of your demise.

You'll have to forgive my having not buzzed as of late.

Surely you must have known

how it can be for a bee about the hive;

bumbling about and struggling to survive.

but i promise,

if you had not befallen such calamity

on the morrow I would have arrived

before the flowering morning

and that what was between us never changed

and it would have been a delightful surprise

sprawling flower strewn meadows

beheld by dark opal eyes.
