every group in human history gets buttblasted when someone or something they don't like does something they don't like, that's how it is

Focus more on character appearances than character development

Completely unoriginal premise with little more than token changes made to whatever the idea for the story was stolen from

Themes that appear more deep than they actually are

Focus on romance at the cost of almost everything else in the plot

Re-cycled characters who have a greater focus on appealing to teenagers than on actually being unique

Teens saving the world while all the adults are either "le suber evil" or completely and inexplicably inept

Low level, easily understood writing and prose that usually has heavy emphasis on metaphor and simile because the intended audience is too dumb to understand descriptive words so it's easier to liken everything to an animal or object that everyone knows

Convenient endings in which everything is wrapped up and very little is open to interpretation

I think that's it. I've probably missed some.

Veronica Roth is also devoid of artistic talent. Unless milking YA readers is an artistic talent.

>Well structured story

Oh please. VR herself admitted she had no idea how to end the series because she did no planning, that's why the last book in the trilogy is so reliant on DEMs, has a nonsensical ending, and switches to a different voice than the previous two were written in. Allegiant almost sunk her career, but thankfully YA readers are ok with Harry Potter meets Hunger Games, so they dont care that much in the end.

>Women dominate the industry

The YA industry. But if that's the case why do they accuse John Green of hogging too much of the spotlight and dismantling the work of the female YA writers?

Is it always the same person making these threads? I have it on very good authority that John Green visits /lit/ frequently. Maybe he is the one making these threads.
