This is a good one simply because it's so bizarre. (I spoilered it to hide the filename in case anyone wants to try guessing the book, but you never will. It's The Long Goodbye.)

I approve of Laurie's general disapproval of bad language. But the point is, there is no bad lanaguage in this book. I'm wondering if she saw a certain foul-mouthed film adaptation?

This is one of the oddest, because the work in question has literally no bad language at all. There might be a "damn" or something. If that's her threshhold, I hope she doesn't ever try any other books.

Question: how did you know it had so much swearing if you didn't... never mind.

(There is absolutely no bad language in this book.)

This one is surreal. Literally impossible to guess (this author never uses bad language).

Here's the best one I've found for no-one ever being able to guess it. The book has no bad language. (Why did she think it does? Maybe she saw a film adaptation that included swearing? Who knows?)
