The series even opens up with Jan at the end of the series speaking into an Overlord sphere camera thing asking the Overlords to "remember humanity" and whatnot, when he didn't ask for favors for the human race. Jan had some childhood segments where he is in a wheelchair in the beginning, and his mom was implied to be a drug dealer or whore, or some such.

Karellan even chooses FARMER Stormgren to be his liaison because he helped end some faction-related argument in the small town he lives in. It was between him, or some elderly blind woman, to represent humanity.

I dropped it fifteen minutes in. Fucking awful adaptation.
