Is it worth reading about game theory? Im trying to understand current events, and have always adhered to Machievellianism. I've achieved moderate success in life, having bought my own house and made millions when I was 25 (now 26).

However I always feel dumbfounded when talking to people about 'deeper' topics such as politics, and I realize im in deep waters when I speak to someone about historical strategic moves done by political figures, and comparing it with current events. I feel like if everything can be boiled down to data and numbers, which game theory seems to do, i'll be able to apply this way of thinking not just in conversation but also trying to understand the world around me. That said Im completely a noob when it comes to Game Theory, and I doubt Game Theory 101 books will do much other than gloss over topics you can watch youtube for
