I believe Susan Sontag said something to the effect that reading should be treated like sheet music with a certain amount of reader decision. When it comes to Poetry, I don't you could get more accurate as comparing it to sheet music. But I sometimes feel the meter of a poem is so vague that it falls to the readers choice in recitation. How do you guys approach reading poetry with an ear for exact meter?

What is your take on Hamlet? What is your favorite scene/act from the play? Is there any specific word play that calls out to you? Why do you think it is considered Shakespeare's best play (or at least most popular)? Is it the perfect play? Also general thread for the play Hamlet.
