I think any "philosopher" who wrote a work dissecting the phenomenology of camouflage deserves a backhand

Why is it that every time the author develops a sense of mystery or suspense, he ruins it by cutting to NASA where they spoil everything in a dialogue full of "witty" "banter"? This is the first time since I really got into books that I've been able to detect bad writing.

So I'm reading The Forever War, the so-called greatest sci-fi military novel ever written. Perhaps I'm mistaken, but it appears that the book contains women in combat roles. Are you FUCKING kidding me?

That's the most fictional part of the whole book, tbh. I literally cannot take it seriously at. all. It ruins the entire book (so far).

Let's just take a fucking moment to acknowledge that this girl has read the Greeks... and literally every other book that she has enjoyed or read is a burning heap of shit.

If this doesn't permanently invalidate the relevancy of the Greeks, I don't know what will.
