Let's talk about Balzac. I've known about him for a while, but haven't had much desire to read his works until recently. I read an article on one of my favourite writers in which he was compared to Balzac, and that got me interested enough to look into him more. I currently have a copy of Le Père Goriot on the way, which seems to be the best place to start. What works of his have you read and what would you recommend? He has such a large body of work that I'm not sure where to go after Goriot.
