Thoughts?

I've been looking to read A Portrait of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, and I am curious how big of a difference there is between the censored and uncensored version.
Is there any difference, /lit/? If so, how big of a difference does it make to the book? Is it better censored or uncensored?

I'm studying this classic by Oscar Wilde and would appreciate some suggestions as to what novels would go well with this for my final comparative study in Advanced English (Scotfag here). Any ideas people? What novels have similar themes?

Books you liked at first but then grew to hate (or vice versa).

The Picture of Dorian Gray. Lord Henry's wit really drew me into the story but then the whole style became pretentious.
