The implication you’re making is that death offers some relief to suffering. Only conscious beings can experience the emotions of relief and the pleasure of a life absent of suffering. Therefore, death offers nothing except the termination of any possibility of relief. Not only that, but it removes a human from existence who was loved and cared for by an entire family for many years. Even if the previous statement doesn’t hold true that doesn’t mean life is not worth living.

Up to this point, an enormous genetic lineage led to your creation. Your ancestors have a history as rich as many famous historical figures. What gives you the right to end that which they built? Every decision they made, every day they toiled, every breath they took was a step towards creating you. Suicide is akin to spitting in every one of your ancestors’ faces and saying, “So what? Fuck your efforts.”
