I honestly don't agree that good (as in skillful) philosophy necessarily has anything to do with "the human condition" or "truth." A philosophy to me is just a theory of practice (e.g. a mechanic's "philosophy" regarding how to diagnose a problem with a car). Academic philosophy is often the theory of the practice of theorizing (i.e. it centers on how to effectively construct a theory), which is why it seems removed from lived experience. This doesn't necessarily mean it's useless, but it does mean that most people won't understand its use (e.g. Hegel's dialectic is still occasionally described as "dazzling" or "bewildering") since the utility has an abstract character.

I know you're baiting, but honestly, how would I know she abuses the word "intransigent" if I hadn't read e.g. Atlas Shrugged? It was an absolute waste of time, and it's probably the only book I regret reading. The fact that you point to a top American politician as an acceptable example of someone who espouses your "anti-statist" philosophy should tell you exactly how well assimilated it is into circles of elite state power.

I was wondering, since this society is framed as a screaming duality, a living brute of contradiction: half of us worship the holy "I" hedonisticly ("You are important"), half of us regress toward flat Christian ardor ("You aren't important, The People/Beauty/Life/God/The State etc. are important"). Your standpoint is one of wrote Christianity much more than the standpoint of the average capitalist shill. I abhor it.

I'd also point out that this division of persons into two opposing camps is a simplistic one, since there are thousands of ideologies that exist in as accouterments to the two vaguely conflicting camps I have outlined. But the point is that you specifically are saying nothing new here, you're just reformulating Christianity into beauty-worship.

Though at the intellectual level, a dedicated Marxist (something I am not) doesn't write for "trans womxn, blakpipo, or latinxs." The dedicated Marxist (e.g. Zizek) ignores these things as identitarian distractions and focuses on the perceived root of the problem: capital and its corollary economic class.
