Where to start with English Romantic poetry? I've never been much into poetry so I don't have much background in it other than reading like Robert Frost etc in school.

or this is kind of a special case? I feel that Byron was much more popular in the past, maybe due to his life and persona, than he is now.

hi lit, i'm trying to get into poetry but I find I work best when I have some fame of reference. I know a few Romantic poets but I want to know if you guys can recommend specific poems that you think are notable.

Which books do you recommend me for Blake and Byron ? Heard "Manfred" was really good. What do you think ?

Also, what would you recommend for a " beginner " in French Literature (preferably poetry) ?
I already read some poems of du Belay and Ronsard, and I hesitate between "les Amours" "les Meditations Poètiques " or "Les Fleurs du Mal."
