One of the anons was asking about Lindsay Ellis' Axiom's End a few threads ago.

I got to reading it, and it's pretty trash desu.
>Our protag is Cara, a twentysomething college dropout lesbian working a terrible temp job and living with her alcoholic single mother and two younger siblings. A weirdo gamergirl aunt also visits sometimes.
>her absent dad is Julian Assange with a different name, and about UFOs. The entire family hates him for running to Germany in order to WikiLeak about ayylmaos, and also for making them quasi celebrities by association.
>several impact events happen, which Julian Assange claims to be ayylmaos
>Cara suffers from her job, her alcoholic mom, basedboys around her open-mouthing about her dad, and literally the CIA.
>SUDDENLY A Big White ayylmao (let's call him Bvll) with the appearance of something from a Pokemon Deviantart effectively falls on top of her and abducts her.
>her Assange dad was right all along!
>the ayylmao injects her with a tracker and takes off

>Cara's family gets V& by the CIA, she's on a run with a help from her gamergirl aunt, who takes Cara to her colleagues.
>Turns out the gamergirl aunt was secretly a scientist studying actual ayylmaos, who's been around since the 70s, but now CIA is out to get them to cover up the ayylmaos. They don't really believe Cara about her ET experience with the Bvll, though.
>the Bvll abducts her again
>tries to use her as a meat puppet in order to infiltrate Googleplex (we never find out why he needed the Googleplex, though).
>the attempt is thwarted by a sudden EMP. Turns out that ayylmaos are cyborgs, with synthetic bodies housing meaty brains.

>Cara ends up with a helpless, disabled ayylmao cyborg on her hands, but chooses to protect and shelter him from the CIA
>waits for him to come back to his senses and befriends him, shows him to the gamergirl aunt
>Bvll can talk to her in plain English through a Google Translator he planted in her ear, turns out the ayylmaos have visited Earth centuries ago and cracked human language since then.
>someone keeps hitting the US with EMP attacks
>Bvll reveals that he is being hunted by other ayylmaos, and they have no chances to survive on their own
>all of them collectively decide to surrender to the CIA. The CIA man hides them under the Cheyenne mountain.
>Cara remains with Bvll as his interpreter, since he refuses to install his Google Translator on anyone else. She's mad at the CIA man for holding her alco mom and siblings somewhere in Guantanamo, but she's willing to cooperate to help her big shiny ayylmao.
