Anybody else read Michel Houellebecq's "Elementary Particles" / "Atomized"?

This has blown me away. I read it all last night and this morning. It is the most impressive novel I've read in a while. The presentation and linking of obscure scientific facts, the sociological analysis, the humour, the emotion, the intensity of expression, I can see why it was so well received. I'm reading "The Loser" by Thomas Bernhard now and it seems so poor in comparison.
