What are some books that are generally described as bittersweet? I want to read one that'll leave me sad, melancholy, or otherwise moved at the end, but intermixed with a small ray of hope. The closest example I can think of is when I read the ending of The Myth of Sisyphus,

"The struggle itself toward the heights is enough to fill a man's heart. One must imagine Sisyphus happy."
