Hello,

I am looking for a book that'd help me understand what'd I'd like doing work-wise, and what careers might fit my personality type the best

What are some books to help me with this?

What's your take on dramatic structure, plotting, screenwriting, narratology...

There are currently so many schools of thought and outlining methods (3 Act structure, Hero's Journey, Save the cat, Story circle, etc) but I cant help but feel they end up being mostly useless platitudes. I have honestly found fucking tvtropes objectively more helpful than any of the books on storytelling Ive read.

So yeah /lit/, how do you think about narratives and do you have any insight on whats worth considering when making your own or analyzing others?

>inb4 Poetics. Let's not pretend Aristotle had it all figured out and his theories cant be built upon.
