You'll read more if you're able to reduce your daily screen time. If you're bored, reading will become a more attractive past time. 30 pages a day isn't bad. I read around 20-40 a day 40 if it's a good day and if I read under 20 pages I feel like I've wasted the day. Simply sticking to your plan to read around 30 pages daily will also increase your abilities eventually.

Stuff like getting rid of your internal monologue while reading and using a finger to mark the text as you go will make you quicker too.

I seem to get more xenophobic the more I read. Is this normal? I tend to read mainly European literature so maybe it's because my intake is centred around Europe?

I guess not really xenophobic in the normal sense. I keep developing this need for Europe to be for Europeans. Is this normal? should I be worried?

Hmmm not sure if cringe or based. I love green tea but ambient music is not my thing. I'm gonna go with based.

I'm Canadian and I've ordered a ton of "edgy" books on amazon and abebooks and never had any problems. I think there are laws against moving "hate propaganda" across the border, but they are enforced very inconsistently, if at all. I think it would be more of an issue if you were trying to ship boxes of pamphlets or something like that and someone reported you.

That's retarded. The reason your room isn't clean is becuase you haven't invested the time to make it clean. Just clean 30 minutes everyday until it looka nice, then clean 15+ minutes to keep it that way.

perhaps read 'the education of a speculator'
and also 'futures research methodology version 3.0' (E of a S is available online, but latter is behind a paywall)

also maybe look in to history or various annual volumes like the 'annual register'. there is a shit ton of possible literature you could read from as everyone wants to know the future and businesses, governments, third sectors orgs, think tanks, etc all will pay money for everything that comes under the huge bubble of forecasting/futures research.

the most efficient path for learning is probably read the latest research on a particular subject you are interested in to see what people are doing and what they are working with - it will probably involve much mathematics and data science or statistics if it is any good. it is a myth that one person could be 'in tune' with the trends and patterns that they will be able to predict certain things simply from their intuition and experience - if they can predict anything it will be only the most obvious ones, they just happen to be the only one paying attention at the time. projecting from events in history is not necessarily accurate even if the patterns are ex facie clear or obvious, but if you have enough data and better methods then forecasting is potentially more accurate.
