Yes, I do believe that true art, a beautiful piece of classical music or passage from the novel, rennaisance statue, or especially natural beauty is worth a billion lives of my african "brothers in Christ".
Beauty is the highest value to me. Aesthetics is ethics. And heaven where I have to grovel and submit at the feet of some master for eternity holds no appeal to me, but then again I am not a natural slave.

Have you guys assorted a sort of council of historical/fictional characters or just people you admire from your life in your head to ask for advice? Like what would Jesus do except with Marcus Aurelius or Norm Macdonald or Gandalf?

Anyway I have a problem because I did that with a lot of hellenes like Alexander the Great, Achilles, Alcibiades, Theseus, Heracles, etc and they're constantly telling me to get drunk, fuck/rape women and men, and violently attack anyone I find in my way.

How do you cope with the fact that the ancient Hellenics and Argives were superior to you mentally, physically, spiritually, aesthetically, and every other way possible? I highly recommend Cellini's Autobiography. He was one of the greatest jewelers/sculptors of the Renaissance, and he had a really wild life. Took part in the Defense of Rome in 1527, banged boys, girls and women, was thrown in the Papal Dungeon for a crime he didn't commit, and made fantastic art through it all. In fact: I bet they only know of them from their threads. Look on their front page how many posts their are about being a quarter of the way through a book, or their thoughts after the first chapter. I don't see anything about thoughts after they have finished the book...
