Was Nietzsche familiar with Orthodox theology? Seems like none of his criticisms of Christianity can be applied to Orthodox Christianity

I don't mean to sound like a retard, but is it just me, or is secularism becoming increasingly anti-intellectual? It seems like it was very intellectual back in Foucault's day, but now it's trending more toward Sam Harris and SJW's and misogynistic libertarians.

I really don't mind atheists trying to subvert the meme, in fact I think it makes them look even worse, they acknowledge the meme is so powerful and true that instead of coming up with a counter meme of their own, they have to apply the atheist meme to Christians.

As he neared reddit on his journey, suddenly a light from the screen flashed around him. He fell to the ground, his fedora falling off, and heard a voice say to him, “Anon, Anon, why do you persecute me?”

“Who are you, Lord?” Anon asked.

"I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. “Now get up and go to /lit/, and you will be told what you must do.”
Anon got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could see nothing but Christposts. For three days he was blind, and did not eat or drink anything.

“Lord,” Anonias answered, “I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your Christposters on /lit/. And he has come here with authority from the chief fedoras to arrest all who call on your name.”

But the Lord said to Anonias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their trips and to the people of 4chan. I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.”
Then Anonias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Anon, he said, “Brother Anon, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” Immediately, something like scales fell from Anon’s eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized, and after taking some food, he regained his strength.

Which is more anti-intellectual? Theology, or scientism? Keep in mind that religion persecuted Socrates, Galileo, and continues to whine about evolution. Also keep in mind that it was largely science which pulled us out of the dark ages.

Help me lads: I'm confused about what Christian faith I should believe in. Let me explain:

1. I believe in the Pope as Gd's representative on Earth as, after all, the first was chosen by Jesus.
2. I'm opposed to the Catholic use of Mary as a conduit. When I pray, I pray directly to Jesus. By worshipping through Mary, a false idol is being worshipped.
3. Although I adore Christian architecture and churches, I'm opposed to the idea of having gold and pictures and pretty designs across the Church like in Anglicanism and Catholicism.
4. I fully support Eumenism and the sharing of discussion with other Christians.
5. I support the protestant view that everyone should be able to read the Bible themselves and support hymns but I am opposed to independent interpretation of the good book and I agree with catholics that is up to religious leaders and theologians.

What am I lads? I was brought up in a Presbyterian family but now I've turned quite agnostic due to confusion in my faith.

> What would we call the time period from 1945-2000 then?

Some ideas:

"Literature from 1945 to 2000"

"Proto-contemporaneous"

"NA BO KOV"

"The only era where Allen Ginsberg would be considered a valid poet and not a fucking retard"

"The American Era"

My sweetheart is well read, smart, philosophical and Christian; she likes Hegel and Kierkegaard. Only trouble is she's Society of Friends. Any books I give her to get her to go full bread pill and come over to the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church?

Aside from the Episcopal Church and Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, which Christian denominations don't consider the Bible to be infallible or inerrant?
