Any books that address the fact that the actual text of the Bible doesn't matter, and all that matters is how it's interpreted by those in power? For example -

>When the Catholic Church was strong, Christianity was strong and life-affirming.

>Now that egalitarianism and democracy is strong, Christianity is suddenly about peace and love.

Anyone else get irritated at this statement, often made by normoids without any knowledge of philosophy or history?

Every single branch of science is philosophy, that became a distinct discipline which is referred to as for example, biology or physics, only after it was given an internally consistent framework.. by philosophy.

We see scientists now using the conclusions of their discipline in order to prove that philosophy isn't necessary, despite every conclusion they make resting of things like the law of contradiction or sufficient reason.

>"Ideology" is simply an attempt to objectively justify the subjective power interests of individuals or classes. All that matters is power, and who has it.

Books that reflect this aesthetic?

>accepting everything you are told and all cultural institutions as valid and necessary
>exemplified in the "patriot" or "nationalist"

>midbrow
>skepticism towards authority, fights institutional power and its influence over the human mind
>exemplified in the postmodern atheist

>high brow
>recognizes that power and authority are inevitable, truth can be defined only within the context of the story being told by a society to itself (national, religious, racial mythos)
>exemplified by Jesus, Hitler etc, people who have created their own mythology fitting the context within which they exist

it's impossible to refute this
