Stoicism like all virtue-based ethics is just a scam philosophy used to promote passivity and obedience in the populace.
>it's out of your control bro
>everything is indifferent except when it's not bro
>just be arbitrarily virtuous in a way that happens to benefit the state bro
What's really silly is people actually think it was written by Marcus Aurelius and that if it were it wouldn't have been pruned of all things inconvenient to the manipulation of the general public.

You're confusing me with Marx and the average socialist retard that posts here. Nobody here likes faggots. Go back to leftypol, nigger. You will never live to see socialism, and you will never convert anyone here to your pathetic cause.

Do you have your own 'Meditations'? I don't mean a diary, I mean a collection of methods for living a good life, that you reread from time to time, to remind yourself of lessons that you painstakingly acquired during your life?

I finished reading the meditation a little while ago. I found a lot of it useful and a good read, but I just kinda skipped over all the fragments in which he made reference to his concept of nature. Is there any truth in the way the greeks saw and talked about nature? I feel that it's just one of those ideas people used to believe in but now they're just outdated, but I could also be wrong about it, since I'm not really educated in philosophy at all.

Where do I start with stoicism? I don't want to plow through the entire shelf rather skip to the best bits, ironically enough.
Meditations by Marcus Aurelius?

Marcus Aurelius is saying that we shouldn't pretend to be wise. What are some good books about that?

What's the best translation of Meditations?

In my opinion, his bust, is all the meditation I need. The calm and stoic expression on his face emanates the manliness in him. His curly hair and curly beard makes his face more aesthetically pleasing to look at. I strive to be like him. He's my ideal.
