Is anyone else totally devoid of any interest in writing anything for the sake of writing but feels like they should be interested?

I read King Warrior Magician Lover and I kinda found it trite and unhelpful.

I don't want any blithe, drive by advice. Some book that really helps you understand what manliness essentially is, and how to center yourself in it and reconnect to it.

I think modern psychology and psychiatry both are not very rigorous. Books for this feel?

Are there any good books about the inside of the united states congress? I want to learn more about how congress works, but it seems like I'll just get partisan books instead of objective ones.

Give me some easy, compelling, and interesting fiction books that will re-spark the love for reading that I had when I was a child. I don't want to read anymore boring and difficult philosophy books.

I've realized something anons. I'm way more likely to finish a book if I have it in a physical copy, as opposed to an e-book. But this could really eat at my savings. The average book is like 10$-20$, so it makes it more complicated.

My morales is in shambles after briefly befriending a young, emotionally incontinen, drunken soldier in a bar. He was completely hopeless. Made a big scene. He'd just been dumped and badly treated by a girl who sounds like she was far beneath him. My friends and I tried to sort him out but he'd already had too much to drink, so we put him in a cab home.
He was a lot better looking than I was too. If a guy like that can't find any luck with girls, what chances do I have? The rest of the low-value men in my generation?

Hey /lit/, I'm a 23yo new fag that wants to get into books. I've tried reading classics (Prince, The Art of War), but after reading the book, I can't remember most of the book. Just some vague concepts.

I've come here because there's nothing in the wiki about this, and 4chan has a self-aware hard-truth approach.

So am I a retarded midwit, or is it normal?

Have any of you all tried reading psychology articles? Especially the expensive ones? I recently have done it a couple of times reading about personality disorders, schizophrenia, severe mental deficiencies, and so many others.
