You don't have to interpret Metamorphosis. It can just be a funny short story about a guy who turns into a bug. Zoomers would love it, it's the same kind of humour as pickle rick. Obviously if you've ever been depressed, or ever had worries about becoming useless to your loved ones you will relate to it on a deeper level.

Just finished reading this.
Was the man in the enchanted hunters, who somehow knew about H.H's plans, Clare Quilty? Or was he some other known character? Quilty kind of came out of nowhere, I feel like I missed some clues.
