Can anyone explain why people think this book is at all complicated? I came expecting something similar to Hyperion Lost or Gene Wolf books, but Dune basically spells out all important details. I have yet to see Herbert introduce a concept, and not explain it in detail within at least 10 pages. Additionally, there’s only 2 main factions and like 4 sub factions that matter at all. (Paul’s house, Enemy house, Fremen, political witches, Imperium, and spacer guild)

How could anyone think this is complicated? Am I reading the same Version as everyone else ? Game of thrones was harder to track than this.

Holy shit this 'story' is gay. Bought the book and just started reading, within the first two pages its already capeshit, muh special powers, muh cube, mega gay
