What are some good books for homosexual men?

I don't mean gay erotica - while it may make me hot under the collar, it's mostly hedonistic pulp. I'd much prefer to read a well written novel (perhaps a classic) with subtle gay undertones, or where the male form is described beautifully and fully appreciated in all its perfections and flaws. Do any such works exist, or am I asking a bit too much? Thanks in advance anons.
