I used to produce music on my pc, I used to watch youtube tutorials and could easily match my progress, same with guitar. Why does writing feel different? is it because I haven't read much that I can't tell what is good or bad? I am confused /lit/ I write but I can't say what is good or bad about it.

I get snippets of plots and scenes in my head, a few themes and things are there that I want to talk about. But how the hell do I connect all of that and make a story.

Everytime I read I see so many words that I don't even know. The fucking english vocabulary is so vast man, I read sentences and prose, realizing I couldn't have written a sentence like that even if a gun was pointing at my head. How THE FUCK DO I GET GUD FOR OTHER THINGS THERE IS A SYSTEM FOR WRITING THERE ISN'T AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

I can think of alright and ok-ish interesting plots, but can't make stories out of them. Even if I can figure out the ending and some middle scenes, I can't think of substance to complete a story and make it seem like an actual tale. I don't read much, is that the problem? I watch a lot of films tho

/lit/ why do you guys hate psychology here? what's wrong with it and what's right with it? Arre there really so many unethical therapists out there?

I feel like there is a more moral and philosophical path to life. Most people are materialistic and fail to see it. Not saying that materialistic way of life is bad and neither am I talking about religion. It just feels like there has to be something out there with soul, purity and untouched by status and money but still able to give satisfaction of both. If I have touched something that you might have read in another book please recommend thanks in advance.

if you want to write well, write in simple form. No fancy words and stuff. Simple and understandable sentences but with weight heavier than your momma

should I read more everyday or write more?

I get the importance of reading greek philosophy works, reading political philosophy works. But, after this literature, don't you guys think that reading fiction, history, theology, news,politics etc and critically thinking about what you have read is more worthwhile then reading 700 pages of ideas that are written in the most dry and bland language possible? I love philosophy, but finding philosophy in art and social literature and then reaching a personal conclusion is more effective isn't it? I think a lot of people who don't like philosophy do this here.
again, I only agree with " philosophy is something you do yourself, not read about." after the greek philosophy phase.
It just seems like awful lot of time that could've been used to actually read something that could've changed your thinking.
