It's essentially the same except that the cosmic terror is Shrek instead of Pennywise (since there's no main character). The closest approximation to his true form that can be seen without going insane is that of a giant onion.

It was a few years ago, so sorry if I don't recall too much. She's alright-ish at building tension, but her character development is shit. Bella's character doesn't change at all between books 2 and 4, she's just all "wahhh I wish I was a vampire".
Also, Edward was missing for most of the second book, which was just lazy writing on Meyer's part.
