Who was the "dark lady" that Shakespeare addresses in the sonnets 127–152?

some scholars and critics have argued that Shakespeare was indeed into black women

Is Shakespeare only brilliant because he was born in the 16th century and was prolific? Would he be considered a genius if he had been in 1930 and didn't write 'thou' and 'thine'? Didn't he create words by necessity because they weren't in his language at the time? Did he really "create the human" rather than Homer or Dante? How big was his dick? Does knowing that most of his work was borrowed from other sources take away from his genius, or does the fact he "improved" them prove his genius? Was everything he ever wrote a masterpiece, or do we except his mediocre work as more in order to fit Shakespeare into the genius label?

>Here is the will, and under Caesar’s seal. To every Roman citizen he gives- To every several man- seventy five drachmas

Is this satire? Is Mark Antony aware that the citizens are flip flopping for a few bucks?

It’s between Pelican $65, Norton $110, Oxford $22, or wait until the new Riverside in April $82. I’m leaning towards Oxford because of the price and it’s not an obnoxious ~3000 page book like Norton. Any experiences with these?

Is the ordering of shakespeare’s sonnets deliberate, if not why do scholars tend to divide the sonnets into sequences?

Soft you; a word or two before you go.
I have done the state some service, and they know't.
No more of that. I pray you, in your letters,
When you shall these unlucky deeds relate,
Speak of me as I am; nothing extenuate,
Nor set down aught in malice: then must you speak
Of one that loved not wisely but too well;
Of one not easily jealous, but being wrought
Perplex'd in the extreme; of one whose hand,
Like the base Indian, threw a pearl away
Richer than all his tribe; of one whose subdued eyes,
Albeit unused to the melting mood,
Drop tears as fast as the Arabian trees
Their medicinal gum. Set you down this;
And say besides, that in Aleppo once,
Where a malignant and a turban'd Turk
Beat a Venetian and traduced the state,
I took by the throat the circumcised dog,
And smote him, thus.

How the FUCK, did this rural Anglo crack the code of literature, in the 16th century at that, before the novel was even invented? Its like he read a the handbook of all literrary plot devices and the "The Hero with a Thousand Faces" by his bedside.

How in the world were all of his plots and characters so different? Even the Oxfordian hypothesis does not explain how he was so skilled to craft a story. Its like he was a time traveller , or I am missing something entirely about the period.

Why is this treated like a conspiracy theory? There's no way a pleb who owned few books could have wrote those plays considering all the classical, religious, etc. references. How would he have learned of all of those subjects? To be a stratfordian you have to be delusional
