You tell me. Why is it so unsettling? For a utilitarian it should be utopia, so why does it feel so wrong? Could it be that there is a transcendent value to authentic human experience that outweighs maximizing pleasure by any possible means? It seems so and yet at the same time it also seems like utilitarians cannot possibly justify such a value.
