the prose isn't for everyone.

Hemingway wrights odd. His sentences are sparce. Like this. They get to the point. Like an Iceberg. You can only see the tip, where the rest is underneath.

Then almost out of nowhere sometimes he will shift into these big long run on sentences with little to no punctuation and this can be really jarring for people to read but I think that's his intention.

it sounds fucking gay but reading has made me think about myself, and people, and the world around me on a deeper level.

also I've started writing. It's probably total shite but it's relaxing, and cathartic, and I'm improving everyday :-)

Are there any other writers like Hemingway or Mishima who over compensated for their insecurities by being overtly masculine and writing overtly masculine stories?
