anyone who thinks the people and the activity pictured are anything but awesome is absolutely hopeless. I organized a book club my senior year of college and it was one of the best things I've ever done. I also looked up the book they're reading (THE RED TENT) and it actually sounds pretty interesting. I saw someone else post ANNA KARENINA, which is my favorite book, but I don't think I'd want to introduce myself by recommending something so long. I think I'd go with THE DEATH OF IVAN ILYICH, because it's another book dealing with religious themes and is pleasingly short.
