Here's the problem of the modernist dialectic. Coates and Baldwin are rallying against the racism of white supremacy and all the evils it has given the world. European racism categorised the world into white/non white

Coates and Baldwin say fuck that and try to create a positive black identity. However they end up reproducing the very hierarchies of modernism and write in a way that alienates white folk like yourself.

However, owing to the poor state of political discourse in the west right now, you perceive that the only way to adequately critique black liberals (for assuredly Coates and Baldwin are liberals not the radicals they profess to be) is to backwash into straightforward modernist racism. By doing so you commit the same error that they have.

in many ways the liberals/SJW and the conservatives/poltards feed off each other. Each denounce each other as one side of modernity. Neither is willing to look outside the rigid binary way of looking at the world.
