I read it in like an hour practically. Great writing and I kinda enjoyed all the sex scenes, but I was kinda hoping for it to come all together in the end and it just doesn't. Just 100 pages of progressively stranger sex and then the book calls it quits

For the record I think Pasoli's 120 Days of Sodom is a very profound work, but this just struck me as edge lord nonsense. Was half expecting to see an afterward by Chuck Edgy Edgelord Palahniuk at the end.

Here's what I thought of the book.

A journey through the philosophical, godless, depraved mind of George Bataille, reflecting the dream like, sub conscious reflection of past experiences in his life (as it describes at the end of the book). This brilliant, extremely obscene, sacrilegious book is like a refuge from the false moralizing of the societal hive mind. This is the book that the holy people will keep in a locked trunk in their room in secret, and godless people alike will adore, as an escape from the dogmatic world of unthinking slave consciousness.
