Hey /lit/, could I get some recommendations for logic texts?

I have no prior knowledge of the subject so I'd need something that starts from the absolute basics. Also I'm looking for something to refresh my general math skills if anyone knows a good textbook for that.

What would be the downsides if we developed a global system where there was a maximum cap on how much an individual could earn in a year. Just guessing a number here, but say a million dollars? Anything above that would be given to charities, scientific research, and the improvement of infrastructure.

Hey, guys. I was wondering if you could give me your advice.

I'm currently doing my BA English Literature in England. I got a 1st in my 1st year. I had thought for a while that I would just go through postgrad English and do my MA and PhD, and subsequently become a lecturer. But, now, for whatever reason, my brain is telling me to do law. After I finish my BA, I could easily get onto a GDL course (exactly the same as a Law LLB but 3x as dense material for one year) and then become a solicitor (because fuck barristers). What's wrong with me? What do I do?
