The unbelievable worldbuilding, generic plot and retarded main character names aren't elements of a clever satire, they're just evidence of stephenson being a hack. Stephenson is a libertarian and billionares like musk simp for him specifically because snow crash depicted an ideal world for them. And Stephenson regularly does talks for libertarian think tanks like reason because he knows this. If you wanted to depict your ideal world you wouldn't do it in such a dumb way unless you were a bad writer.
